I got up around 6:30. I prayed, drank a few cups of coffee, read my Bible and sent out the verse of the day:
I drank a blueberry smoothie for breakfast.
I cleaned out the pool skimmer baskets and tested the water. I need to add 13.33 pounds of chlorine stabilizer. That means a trip to Lowes later.
I repotted the ginger plant and started to repot the 2 olive trees when I go a text from Cliff saying that the living room HVAC had stopped working. I started trouble shooting that and Cliff reminded me about the compressor could be clogged. I spent the next hour cleaning the compressor and using the shop vac to remove the water in the drip pan. Once the water got below the sensor, the HVAC kicked back on. Thank the Lord for A/C.
For lunch I fixed us some leftover chili, chips and cheese. I had a popsicle for dessert.
I put 16 cups of ham broth in the freezer and canned 9 pints of split pea soup.
I use the Ball Canning Book for the recipe and instructions for canning the split pea soup.
I talked to Alex and they were all good. I could the little lads playing in the background.
I got the laundry knocked out and then headed to Lowes. I got the stabilizer, some garlic, onion and shallot sets to plant. While I was walking in the plant section at Lowes, I stepped in a huge pile of dog dodo and then I stepped in straw. I saw the people who didn’t pick up the poo. They were making a mad dash for the door. Naughty people. I found a pallet and tried to scrape as much off as I could. A young man that was as employee came by and asked if he could help me and I said, “Nope, I think I’ve about got it (showing him the bottom of my shoe). It dawned on me that he was just asking if I needed help finding anything, I’m sure he didn’t mean that he wanted to help me clean off my shoe. I told Cliff about it and for some reason he laughed until he cried. I didn’t think it was that funny and I have a great sense of humor.
I grabbed us some Panda Express for supper. We watched a show or two, then I headed to bed. I made my to do list for tomorrow, read a chapter in my Bible (Joshua chapter 2), said my prayers and went to sleep.
