I got up around 6:30. I prayed and then made a French Press coffee. I drank coffee and read my Bible and sent out the verse of the day:
Then I got ready for the day. I took Zeb to class, He has game night with some friends, and it will be dark when he is ready to come home.
Cliff and I both said “Double Stamp Day” When Jake and Alex were little, the first day of the month was Double Stamp Day at the bookstore (I think you got a stamp on a little card for every 10.00 that you spent and then when your card was full you got a free book) Anyway, double stamp day was a big day for us because we would take the kids to the book store and get books.
I ate an apple with almond butter for breakfast.
I went to Kingsport and Johnson City with Cliff. Rachel Smith gave me a big box of fabric that was her grandmothers. I may try and make her a quilt with some of it. It was very nice of her to give me that.
Back home, I heated up some leftover chili and made a grilled cheese.
I cleaned up the kitchen and then I quilted a few rows of the quilt that I am working on.
I emptied the skimmer on the pool.
I cleaned out both the garage refrigerators. What a mess! I got all that mess taken out to the chickens and then washed all the containers.
I made a batch of split pea soup to can tomorrow. I also need to put up the ham broth.
Looking split peas.
I piddled around the house doing little odd jobs like folding dish rags, putting clothes away, etc.
Cliff and I ate leftover Chicken Bacon Pasta for supper.
I went and got Zeb, and he was hungry, so we stopped at Papa John’s and got a pizza. We all watched a show together.
Then I heated up some Russian Tea for us to enjoy.
I got ready for bed. I wrote out a to do list and jotted down some notes in my journal. I read my Bible and prayed.
